Summer Reading

This summer I took a book vacation to a place of magic and unrest.  Not very summery books you might say but on a hot July day I immersed myself in the snow covered Hogwarts Castle.  Nice and cool, better than air conditioning.

When all around me was happiness and sunshine I hid in a dystopian world.  Dystopian books and movies are every where now, think Hunger Games.  The word dystopia comes from dys + utopia.  Utopia is an imaginary world where every thing is perfect.  When that perfect world falls apart, buildings crumble, people run a muck, you get D-Y-S-T-O-P-I-A!

So, what does this strange reading material say about me?  Maybe that I like my books to take me to places I couldn't possible really go to.  No, it does not say that I don't believe in rules.  I just like to imagine what it would be like without them, how would I survive...

What does your reading choices say about you?  Think of three of your favorite books.  Why did you like them?
